TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Attending your dogs appointment is an agreement to these terms and conditions.
All dogs are recommended to be up to date with vaccinations , worming and flea treatments, those that are not are at risk of contracting diseases etc and although we make every effort to maintain good hygiene, we will not accept responsibility if this occurs .
We will always do everything we can to ensure your dogs time in the salon is as pleasant as possible. Grooming can expose or aggravate current medical problems during or after grooming. We will not be responsible for any of these that are discovered.
It is always possible for accidents to occur during grooming.including cuts , grazes , rashes, nicks and claw bleeds after trimming . We always provide upmost care and attention, however due to sharp instruments and varied unpredictable behavior of dogs incidents may occur . We may decide to halt or alter grooming if deemed unsafe .
We will not be held responsible for death of a dog due to a pre existing condition. And there is always a risk with very unwell , elderly dogs .
All prices are an estimated charge , additional costs may apply if pets require additional handling , staff or time to complete the groom .
Cancellation with less than 24 hours notice or no show to an appointment will incur a £15.00 per dog charge before booking a new appointment.
It is assumed that you will bring your dog to us in normal condition. That is that you brush and comb your dog at home right down to the skin regularly between appointments, and your dog arrives to us unmatted . A dog that is not maintained will take us longer so extra charges may be incurred.
Please check your dogs groom on pick up , and let us know of any changes or notes we can make on future grooms . If dissatisfied let us know within 24 hours . Please let us know if you want to change to a different groomer at Tutbury Hound at any time .
In the event of a dog coming in badly matted , we will shave the dog off short , this is very difficult to do and can result in irritation, cuts and nicks , itching . We will not be held responsible for any after grooming effects . We will always take photographs for evidence of matting , we reserve the right to use these if deemed necessary.
Matted ears . When matted ears have to be clipped off haematomas can occur as blood flow has been restricted by mats , then when these are removed the rush of blood can cause blood blisters
Fleas . Any dog coming into the salon with fleas , there will be an extra charge to cover all extra cleaning / washing we have to do . It’s up to the owner of the dog to protect against fleas , we will not be responsible for any dog catching fleas .
The owner is responsible for disclosing any temperament issues or aggressive tendencies, we reserve the right to muzzle any dogs or refuse to groom it .
Your dog may be photographed during the groom and used on our social media , please inform us if you do it agree to this .
Teeth cleaning . This is an additional service that can be added to your groom . This is not a scale and polish that vets offer . It is a slow , gentle way that over time reduces plaque if you take our advice on regularity of sessions . It can also prevent plaque forming if started while teeth are in good condition. We can not offer this if teeth are in bad condition or are loose . We will not be responsible for any problems occurring from poor dentition before , during or after treatment. Emmi pet teeth cleaning is not a veterinary procedure.
I HEREBY CONFIRM THAT I UNDERSTAND AND AGREE TO ALL THE ABOVE POINTS STATED ABOVE . BY BOOKING AND ATTENDING THE APPOINTMENT I ACCEPT THE ABOVE TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
